Dickey Named DAC Pitcher of Week
Dallas College Eastfield's Ryan Dickey has been named the Dallas Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
A freshman right-handed pitcher from Rockwall, Texas, Dickey allowed two runs, three hits and a walk, and had five strikeouts in five innings of relief to win Game 1 of a three-game series against National Junior College Athletic Association Division III 12th-ranked Dallas College Richland last week.
Dickey improved to 6-2 with one save, a 4.50 earned run average and 55 strikeouts in 12 appearances this season.
No. 2 in the NJCAA Division III rankings, Eastfield (32-10, 17-4 DAC) plays at North Central Texas College 1 p.m. Monday before hosting Dallas College Cedar Valley 12 p.m. Wednesday to begin a three-game conference series.
