Peters Picked DAC Pitcher of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Marcus Peters was selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

A sophomore right-hander from Richardson, Texas, Peters went 2-0 with a 0.00 earned run average, two hits and four walks in two appearances. He pitched 4.1 scoreless innings in the season opening 5-0 win over Arkansas State University – Three Rivers, allowing no hits and two walks, while striking out eight. On Saturday, in a 13-2 victory over Howard College, he went five innings, giving up two runs, none earned, on two hits and two walks, and fanning eight more hitters.

Ranked No. 2 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll, Eastfield (5-1) will host DFW Post Grad 12 p.m. Wednesday before concluding the season-opening 11-game homestand with a three-game series against North Arkansas College Friday and Saturday.
