Peters Named DAC Pitcher of Week for Second Time

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Marcus Peters was chosen as the Dallas Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

It is the second time this season Peters has won the award.

A sophomore right hander from Richardson, Texas, Peters went 1-0 last week after pitching six scoreless and no-hit innings, allowing four walks, and striking out six in an 8-1 win over Dallas College Brookhaven. It was his third start this year he has not surrendered a run, and the second in which he has not given up a hit.

Peters improved to 4-0 this season with a 0.33 earned run average and 41 strikeouts in six starts.

Following Monday's home game against Hill College, National Junior College Athletic Association Division III No. 2-ranked Eastfield (16-5, 3-0 DAC) will host Dallas College Cedar Valley (8-8, 0-3) Wednesday at 12 p.m. to begin a three-game series.
