Palma Earns Second NJCAA DIII Player of Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Eastfield's Sebastian Palma was cas the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Baseball Player of the Week.

It is his second National Player of the Week honor this season.

A sophomore third baseman from Dallas, Palma went 7 for 14 (.500) with three home runs, a pair of doubles, 10 runs batted in, seven runs scored and one walk over three games as the third-ranked Harvester Bees swept the Dallas Athletic Conference-opening series with Dallas College Cedar Valley. In the first game, he was 4 for 5 with two homers, a double and five RBI. In the series finale, he homered, singled, walked and drove in four runs. In the Game 2 win, he doubled and drove in a run.

Palma leads the country in home runs with 10 and RBI with 34 through 20 games.

Eastfield (16-4, 4-0 DAC) is in the middle of a three-game series with Dallas College Mountain View (6-11, 1-3). The final game of is scheduled for noon at Mountain View.
