MESQUITE, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's top-ranked baseball team will host Alumni Weekend Friday and Saturday, honoring past Harvester Bees players who've made the program into the junior college power it has become.
Eastfield's National Junior College Athletic Association Division III 2001 and 2006 national championship teams will be honored Friday and Saturday to wrap up a three-game Dallas Athletic Conference series with Dallas College North Lake. Saturday's game is scheduled to be broadcast on the DAC Sports Network as the DAC Game of the Week.
Former Eastfield players throughout the history of the program are invited back to Alumni Weekend. Players from the national championship teams will be recognized, and take part in a ceremonial first pitch.
Food and drinks will be served.
Ranked No. 1 in the country, Eastfield (34-11, 18-3 DAC) begins its series at No. 10 North Lake (22-23, 12-9) at 3 p.m. Thursday. The series shifts to Eastfield for Friday and Saturday's 12 p.m. games.
