Palma Collects 6th DAC Hitter of Week Honor

DALLAS – Dallas College Eastfield's Sebastian Palma was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week for the sixth time this year.

A sophomore third baseman from Dallas, Palma homered in all three games of the No. 1-ranked Harvester Bees' 2-1 series win over No. 16 Dallas College Richland. He hit .600, going 6 for 10 with two doubles, six runs batted in, five runs scored and four walks to go along with the three home runs. He had two hits in each of the three games, going for extra bases each time in two of those games.

Palma's three long balls raised his nation-leading total to 22. He is second in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III in RBI with 82.

Entering the final week of the regular season, Palma is hitting .426 with 17 doubles and 16 stolen bases as the Harvester Bees (39-12, 23-4 DAC) prepare to meet Dallas College Brookhaven (23-25, 16-11) on the road 12 p.m. Wednesday. The final two games of the series are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at Eastfield.

The Harvester Bees will host the NJCAA Division III South Central District Tournament May 13-16.
