Jacob Barfield was named an assistant baseball coach at Dallas College Eastfield in the fall of 2024.

The Harvester Bees went 46-15 overall, 25-5 in the Dallas Athletic Conference in 2026. Eastfield won the DAC regular season and National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District championships before advancing to the NJCAA Division III World Series, where the Bees went 2-2. Five Harvester Bees earned NJCAA Division III All-America honors. 

In his first season in 2025, Eastfield went 45-14 overall, 22-8 in the Dallas Athletic Conference to win the league regular season title. The Harvester Bees advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District Championship.
