MESQUITE, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's men's basketball team opened the season in record-setting fashion Tuesday, beating Creating Young Minds Prep, 186-91.

The 186 points set a school record for points in a game, while freshman guard Tylan Harris made 13 three-point field goals to establish another Harvester Bees' record. He went 13 of 21 from downtown.

In addition to Harris' 39 points in new head coach Dexter Young's debut, sophomore guard Jacore Williams recorded a triple-double, scoring 20 points, dishing out 11 assists and grabbing 10 rebounds.

Eight players scored in double figures.

Eastfield hosts Dallas-Fort Worth Prep 6 p.m. Thursday. The Harvester Bees are ranked No. 3 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III preseason poll.
