Williams Named DAC Men's Basketball Player of Week
Dallas College Eastfield's Jacore Williams has been named the Dallas Athletic Conference men's basketball Player of the Week.
A sophomore guard from Little Rock, Arkansas, Williams averaged 25 points, 8.7 assists, five rebounds and 2.7 steals as National Junior College Athletic Association Division III No. 3-ranked Eastfield won all three games last week in an offensive explosion for the Harvester Bees.
Williams' 75 points were the second most in NJCAA DIII in the opening week. He recorded a pair of triple-doubles in the opening two games. Williams had 20 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds, while recording four steals and shooting 9 of 14 from the floor in Eastfield's 186-91 win over Creating Young Minds Prep. He had 23 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds and two steals, while going 9 of 16 from the field in a 160-80 win over Dallas-Fort Worth Prep.
He scored 32 points on 9 of 13 field goal shooting and 14 of 15 free throw shooting in the Harvester Bees' 140-95 victory over Dallas Premier Prep.
Eastfield plays at Southwestern Christian College 6 p.m. Monday.
