Harris Named DAC Men's Basketball Player of Week
Dallas College Eastfield's Tylan Harris has been named the Dallas Athletic Conference men's basketball Player of the Week.
Harris, a freshman guard from Waco, Texas, averaged 21.5 points, 5.5 assists and 2.5 steals in a pair of wins for the Harvester Bees last week. He scored 29 points in a 101-84 win over National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Temple College Saturday.
Harris shot 11 of 15 from the field and canned 7 of 8 triple tries for 29 points, while picking up five assists and three steals as the NJCAA DIII second-ranked Harvester Bees improved to 11-1.
Harris is averaging 16.6 points and 4.2 assists per game this year.
Eastfield will host Southwestern Christian College 6 p.m. Monday before going on the road to play at McClennan Community College Tuesday and at Redlands Community College Friday.
