Reliford Selected DAC Player of Week After Conference-Opening Win

Dallas College Eastfield's Dwayne Reliford was chosen as the Dallas Athletic Conference men's basketball Player of the Week.

A 6-foot-6-inch freshman forward from Chicago, Reliford had a double-double in the conference-opening win over Dallas College Cedar Valley. He scored 18 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, including five on the offensive glass, and had five assists, six steals and two blocks. Reliford shot 7 of 11 from the field, and was 2 of 3 from long distance.

Eastfield, slotted No. 6 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III rankings, improved to 15-3 overall, 1-0 in the DAC. The Harvester Bees play at Dallas College Mountain View 6 p.m. Wednesday and at Dallas College Brookhaven 1 p.m. Saturday.
