James Named DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Martez James was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

A 6-foot-6 sophomore forward from The Woodlands, Texas, James averaged 17 points, 11 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game as Eastfield went 2-1 last week. He had a triple-double against CYM Prep, scoring 21 points, grabbing 12 boards and dishing out 12 assists. He had a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards in a loss to McLennan Community College. He had another double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Loyalty College Prep.

James is averaging 17.2 points, 10.8 rebounds and three assists per game.

Eastfield (2-4) plays at Connors State College 6 p.m. Monday.
