James Named DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Martez James was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

A 6-foot-6 sophomore forward from The Woodlands, Texas, James scored 27 points on 12 of 16 shooting, grabbed 13 rebounds, had three assists, two blocks and a steal as Eastfield beat Temple College 99-79.

James is averaging 16.9 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.

Eastfield (5-4) plays at Collin College 7 p.m. Thursday before opening Dallas Athletic Conference play at home 1 p.m. Saturday against Dallas College Mountain View.
