Men's Basketball Opens 2026 with Big Win

MESQUITE, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield men's basketball team returned to the court following a three-week holiday break, authoring a 129-76 win over Community Christian College Southwest Raiders.

The 11th-ranked Harvester Bees won their fourth straight game and ninth in their past 10. The 129 points is a season high, and it marked the third time the Bees have topped 100 this season.

Seven players scored in double figures for the Harvesters. David Uwalaka made nine of 11 field goals to finish with 19 points. Martez James had 17 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. Martin Nicholas had 15 points, seven boards, four assists and three steals.  

Eastfield (9-5) built a 64-32 halftime lead.

The Harvesters shot 57.3 percent from the floor, hitting 51 of 89 field goals. They were 22 of 29 from the free throw stripe for 75.9 percent. The Bees grabbed a season-high 66 rebounds.

Braydon Campbell had 14 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a steal, joining Nicholas and James as starters in double figures. Nash Beard had 13 points and four rebounds. Montreal Chalmers finished with 12 points, four rebounds and four assists. Ricky Wilson had 10 points, five rebounds and three steals.

Eastfield will host Loyalty College Prep 6 p.m. Tuesday and Creating Young Minds Prep 6 p.m. Friday. The Harvester Bees host No. 4 Dallas College Richland 6 p.m. Jan. 14 when Dallas Athletic Conference play resumes.
