Campbell Claims Final DAC Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Braydon Campbell was chosen as the final Dallas Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week this season.

It is the third time this season he's received the honor.

A 6-foot-3 freshman guard from Angleton, Texas, Campbell averaged 22 points, five assists, four rebounds and 1.5 steals in a pair of wins for the sixth-ranked Harvester Bees. He scored 28 points on 11-of-12 shooting, and had four rebounds, four assists and a steal in a 77-56 win over No. 1 Dallas College Richland. Campbell had 16 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals in a 71-50 win at Dallas College Cedar Valley to finish the regular season. In the two victories, he went a combined 12 for 13 from the free throw line.

Campbell leads Eastfield in scoring at 15.1 points per game, and is averaging 4.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game, while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 80.4 percent from the free throw line.

Eastfield (20-8) will play in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District semifinals 7 p.m. Friday at Richland.
