Campbell, James Voted DAC's Top New Pair

DALLAS – Dallas College Eastfield men's basketball's Braydon Campbell and Martez James were voted the Dallas Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, respectively.

Both earned First Team All-DAC honors, and Harvester Bees teammate Aiden White was a Second Team choice.

A freshman guard from Angleton, Texas, Campbell leads Eastfield in scoring (15.6), assists (4.7) and free throw shooting percentage (81.4). He's also averaging 1.4 steals per game, while shooting 47 percent from the floor.

A sophomore forward from The Woodlands, Texas, James is averaging 14.6 points, a team-best 10.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals. He's shooting 55.6 percent from the field and 70.2 percent at the free throw line.

A sophomore guard from Newport News, Virginia, White is scoring 10.1 points, while shooting 36.8 percent from 3-point range. He's good for 1.1 steals per game.

Eastfield (20-9) plays Joliet Junior College (15-11) in the opening round of the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III National Tournament 1 p.m. CT Wednesday in Herkimer, New York.
