Harvester Bees Quartet Moving on to 4-Year Level
MESQUITE, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield women's soccer player Breanna Loftin, Silvia Marban, Cora Hurst and Emira Cardenas-Alvarez are moving on to play at the four-year level.
Loftin, a goalkeeper from Garland, Texas, is headed to North American University. She was voted the Dallas Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Year as a freshman after posting four shutouts, while recording four wins and two ties. As a sophomore she combined on one shutout, and had two wins and two ties. She had an .831 career saves percentage and 2.78 goals against average during her two years at Eastfield.
A defender from Dallas, Marban will play for Paul Quinn College. She helped the Harvester Bees post two shutouts last season and four in 2023. Marban recorded her first career point as a sophomore on an assist in a 5-0 shutout of Dallas College Mountain View. She appeared in 28 games in her two-year Bees career.
A forward from Mesquite, Texas, Hurst is also headed to Paul Quinn. She was named First Team All-DAC as a sophomore after scoring six goals and distributing 10 assists for 22 points. She had one gamewinning goal. Hurst had two goals and two assists for six points in a 4-3 win over Western Texas College.
Cardenas-Alvarez, a defender from Fort Worth, Texas, will play for Southwestern Adventist University. She started all 17 games as a sophomore, notching her first point as a Harvester Bee on an assist in the win over Mountain View. In her two-year Eastfield career, Cardenas-Alvarez started 25 of the 28 games she appeared in, helping the Bees post four shutouts.
