Dallas College Eastfield volleyball player signed with the University of Saint Mary in Kansas following two years with the Harvester Bees in 2018-19. She and head coach Brandon Crisp were named to Lamar University's volleyball coaching staff in 2022.
Harvester Bee volleyball alum Catherine Mudd was named an assistant coach on former Dallas College Eastfield coach Brandon Crisp's staff at Lamar.

Eastfield Alum Named Assistant Coach at Lamar

Erstwhile Dallas College Eastfield volleyball player Catherine Mudd was named assistant coach at Lamar University.

 

Mudd, who has been coaching the past four years with Texas Invasion Volleyball Club, played two years at Eastfield in 2018 and 2019 before transferring to the University of Saint Mary in Kansas. An outside hitter for the Harvester Bees, Mudd helped lead Eastfield to an appearance in the 2018 National Junior College Athletic Association Division III national championship match, where the Harvester Bees fell in five sets to Owens Community College.

 

Mudd pounded 424 kills, had 614 digs, 68 aces and 44 blocks in her two-year Eastfield career. The Harvester Bees went 45-21 in her two seasons. She was an Academic All-American, and earned her associates degree from Eastfield in 2020. She graduated from Saint Mary in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in biology.

 

She joins former Eastfield coach Brandon Crisp on Lamar's staff.
