Volleyball Opens DAC Action Monday
Dallas College Eastfield's volleyball team will open Dallas Athletic Conference action Monday at home when the Harvester Bees host Dallas College Mountain View.
The six-team conference schedule runs through Oct. 20. The DAC Tournament is schedule for Oct. 25-29 at the site of the highest seed.
Eastfield is off to a 2-6 start, picking up both wins since naming Phil Nickel as new coach after the season had already started. Amber Smart and Bailey Newsom lead the team in kills with 41 and 40, respectively. Denee Cullum's 166 assists and eight aces are tops in those categories. McKayla Archer's 62 digs, and Tasmine Maxwell's seven blocks lead the Harvester Bees.
The Harvester Bees went 7-3 in conference play last year.
