Volleyball Improves to 10-0
MESQUITE, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's No. 1-ranked volleyball team improved to 10-0 to begin the season, following a sweep of Rose State College Saturday.
The Harvester Bees rolled through Rose State, 25-3, 25-17, 25-11.
It was Eastfield's ninth sweep of the season. The Bees have dropped just one set to this point.
Eastfield did not commit an attack error in the first set, putting down 11 kills in 22 attempts for a .500 hitting percentage. The Harvester Bees had 12 kills, and hit .391 in the third set. The Harvesters held the Raiders (1-5) to a -.065 hitting percentage, while recording a .308 attack percentage on the offensive end.
Eastfield's Carli Banks had eight kills and three blocks, and hit .375. McKenzie Anderson had six kills, no errors, a .500 hitting percentage and two blocks. Aracely Nunez had five kills, a solo block, and hit .364. Taryn Doiron finished with 22 assists, two aces and two blocks. Kaylee Rodarte led the Bees with 12 digs.
Eastfield will play at Temple College 1 p.m. Saturday.
