Banks Earns DAC Offensive Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Carli Banks has been named the Dallas Athletic Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.

A 5-foot-9 sophomore outside hitter from Houston, Texas, Banks hit .440 with 15 kills, two blocks, 30 digs and an ace as National Junior College Athletic Association Division III No. 1-ranked Eastfield beat NJCAA Division I Temple College in five sets on the road.

The 15 kills and 30 digs were both career highs for Banks, who is hitting .293 with 92 kills, 18 blocks and 111 digs this season.

Eastfield improved to 11-0. The Harvester Bees will compete in the Blinn Invitational Friday and Saturday.
