Walker Collects Second DAC Player of Week Honor

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Brenly Walker was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.

It is the second time this season she's been selected for the award.

A 5-foot-9 sophomore outside hitter from Lexington, Texas, Walker hit .282 with 43 kills, 22 digs, 12 blocks and four aces as National Junior College Athletic Association Division III No. 1-ranked Eastfield went 4-0 with four sweeps at the Blinn College Invitational. The Harvester Bees swept three NJCAA Division I teams and NJCAA Division III College of DuPage, which was receiving votes in the national rankings.

Walker had double-digit kills in each of the four matches. She had 12 kills and four blocks in a win over Tyler Junior College. She put down 10 balls, had three blocks and hit .375 in the win over Jefferson College to end the tournament.

Eastfield (15-0) will open the conference portion of its schedule 6 p.m. Monday at Dallas College North Lake (8-11).
