Gibson Named DAC Defensive Player of Week

IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield's Patience Gibson was named the Dallas College Athletic Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.

A freshman libero from Royse City, Texas, Gibson averaged 5.1 digs per set as the No. 1-ranked Harvester Bees went 3-1 at the Wrangler/Ranger Roundup. She had 87 digs, including a career-best 28 against Cisco College. She had over 20 in all four matches on the weekend, and added five aces.

Eastfield beat National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Panola College and Coastal Bend College, along with NJCAA Division II Coffeyville Community College.

The Bees will compete in the Dallas College Richland Tournament Friday and Saturday.
