Eastfield Hosts South District Tournament Wednesday-Saturday

MESQUITE, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield volleyball team will host the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South District Tournament Wednesday-Saturday.

No. 1-ranked Eastfield (25-1, 10-0 Dallas Athletic Conference) won the league regular season title for the third straight year, and claimed the top seed. Dallas College Brookhaven (14-11, 8-2) is the DAC runner-up and No. 2 seed. Both earned quarterfinal byes Wednesday.

In the first quarterfinal Wednesday, No. 3 Dallas College Richland (14-18, 4-6) will meet sixth-seeded Dallas College Cedar Valley (3-24, 1-9) at 5:30 p.m. No. 4 Dallas College North Lake (11-15, 4-6) will play No. 5 Dallas College Mountain View (7-24, 3-7) in the second quarterfinal.

The tournament will be streamed on the DAC Sports Network.

Eastfield has won the last two district championships, and gone on to win the national title each year.

This year's NJCAA Division III Tournament is Nov. 13-15 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
