Mosley, Gibson Collect Final DAC Players of Week
IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Eastfield volleyball's Madison Mosley and Patience Gibson were named the final Dallas Athletic Conference Players of the Week this year.
Mosley won the league Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time. Gibson collected the DAC defensive honor for the seventh time.
A freshman outside hitter from Mesquite, Texas, Mosley hit .333 with 22 kills, four blocks and an ace as Eastfield won both matches to conclude the regular season. She averaged 4.4 kills per set. She had 10 kills, and hit .625 in a sweep of Dallas College Cedar Valley. Mosley had 12 kills and three blocks in a sweep of Dallas College Mountain View.
Mosley has 280 kills, and is averaging 3.54 kills per set this season.
A freshman libero from Royse City, Texas, Gibson had 34 digs and three aces in the two sweeps. She averaged 6.8 digs per set, helping hold Cedar Valley to a .029 hitting percentage and Mountain View to a .025 attack percentage. She had 10 digs in two sets against Cedar Valley and 24 digs in three sets against Mountain View.
Gibson has 408 digs and 66 aces this season. She is averaging 4.92 digs per set.
Eastfield (25-1) will play in the NJCAA Division III South District semifinals 5:30 p.m. Friday at home. The match will be broadcast on the DAC Sports Network.
