Nickel, Greschaw Earn Dallas College Coaching Awards

DALLAS – Dallas College Eastfield head volleyball coach Phil Nickel was awarded the Dallas College Impact Coaching Award. Harvester Bees associate head coach Lexus Greschaw was honored with the Dallas College Emerging Leader Award.

The award, presented by Dallas College's Student Success Department in collaboration with Human Resources, provides a bonus to both full-time and part-time coaches within Dallas College Athletics.

Nickel and Greschaw guided Eastfield to a third consecutive National Junior College Athletic Association Division III National Championship. Nickel was named the NJCAA Division III National Coach of the Year for a third straight year.

The Harvester Bees went 31-1 this season in winning the title. Over the past three championship seasons, his teams have put together an impressive 100-2 record, including a 53-0 mark against NJCAA Division III schools. During that span, Eastfield has gone 39-2 against NJCAA Division I and II schools.

Eastfield won its last 28 matches, and swept 26 opponents this season.
